What’s in your freezer?

If your kids are anything like mine, you will notice a lot of half-eaten fruits (or get handed half-eaten fruits). The last thing I want to do is waste food. Both my husband and I are on our own nutrition plan, so we can’t just finish up their fruits ourselves. So what do I do? I start a small collection of fruit (in a small plastic bag or tupperware container), store them in the freezer, and make fruit smoothies out of them. Delicious and nutritious snacks for the kiddos!

This morning’s concoction consisted of frozen bananas, peaches, oranges, and a little smidgen of coconut popsicle. Just add half OR one full a cup of 1% milk, a teaspoon of vanilla (optional), and Voilà! Let the kids enjoy their “sweet” treat.
